I called payroll today to see when they were going to refund the extra (about 1 1/2 months) insurance that was taken out of my pay. I was informed that they had to get permission from "the state" to issue me a refund and it would take 2-3 months. I told hubby and he said, "Wow." That was NOT the first word out of my mouth.
Plus, the doctor's office still has not called with the results of the biopsy. I left a message with the doctor's nurse on Monday, but no one's called me back as of today. I'll give 'em until Friday and then call again.

I didn't do sh!t yesterday. :( I had a whole bunch of plans, but somehow it all fell apart. I did manage to drag myself to the annual homeowners meeting in the morning, and then a Pampered Chef party afterward. Dunno why I went cause I don't have any money to buy anything - but it was free food! Then...nothing. Didn't feel like cooking, hubby didn't feel like grilling out so we got something from Qdoba (I had a bogo coupon) and then sat around doing nothing until Harper's Island came on. Today's not looking any better, unfortunately, as far as productivity goes.

Dear Remixer,
First of all, I'm sorry you got me. Most of what I write is crap - I acknowledge it, and live with it. Second of all, I'm working on getting the Psych link on my website up and running. And I'm also updating the Star Trek link. I should have those done by late afternoon/tonight. I hope you don't find this assignment too difficult, and please, have fun with it!
Sincerely,
Cait N.

We're leaving Friday to go to the lake house for the weekend. I plan on doing a whole lotta nothing. :-) actually i'm taking my arrested development dvd's and having a mini-marathon - when I'm not on the dock or out on the boat)
As of Friday, I am officially unemployed. I got the "funding expired" email Friday morning and had a quick (and messy) little breakdown at work. I had to sign a paper and fax it back to HR. The IT department shut down my email and all my other login capabilities. I had to turn in my records room key and the pass key for the building. Pretty much a piss poor day all around.
My insurance company decided to deny my recent visit to planned parenthood for my annual exam, though it says, clear as day, in my benefits manual that it will cover it 100%. I didn't find out until Friday when I got my latest explanation of benefits. Of course it was after 6pm when I got home and opened the mail so it was too late to call (M-F 8am-5pm - grrrrr) so I have to wait until tomorrow morning.
My insurance officially ends today. I dunno what I'm going to do as far as a biopsy and the upcoming doctor's appointments if I don't get the "get on COBRA" information like NOW!
I just really don't wanna be me right now.

This has been a really crappy day.
I have two dreamwidth invite codes to give away to anyone who's interested.
In case any of you are wondering, getting 9 (not all at the same time - spread out in 4 sessions) teeth filled is not very fun. Especially when I discovered today that with the new medication I'm on, they give you different anesthetic that doesn't numb you up as much as the other stuff. *not a happy camper right now*
Tomorrow=ultrasound

We just got home from seeing the new Trek movie. Since we're supposed to be at a party in 12 minutes, I don't have time to go into my thoughts on it in detail. I'll say 2 non-spoilery things for now:
1. I liked the movie.
2. Bones was my favorite character, followed closely by Scotty. Uhura was probably my least favorite. (it's almost a tie between her and Chekov's accent)

I was going to see the new Star Trek movie on Saturday at a matinee, but since I'm taking Friday off from work, I just might have to see it then (in the middle of the day!). The only problem is that the theater I want to go to doesn't have movie times listed for Friday yet. They're showing the movie Thursday night at 7pm and 10pm. But nothing yet for Friday.
So, as of today, I do NOT have a job next year. Oh yeah, and my health insurance ends the last day of this month, too.

Well, I never made it to the Crawfish Festival (worked 3 hours instead) and never made it to the new Wolverine movie. I did manage to sit on the couch and watch a lot of tv, take a nap on Saturday, sleep in today, and play a new computer game.
Really not looking forward to tomorrow.
Really not looking forward to tomorrow.
We were informed at 3pm (I get off work at 4pm) that the principal was downtown in a meeting to discuss classified staff, and we'd get our letters (or not) on Monday. *sigh* I subscribe to the sentiment stated in my subject line, so I'm going to have a great weekend! There's a crawfish festival in town and the new Wolverine movie.... yep, great weekend. :)
Here's a Trek article on the Newsweek website that sounds positive about the new movie. But contains a couple of spoilery bits that I should have seen coming (I've been trying to avoid reading anything spoilery about the new movie.)

So tomorrow is (supposedly) the day I find out if I have a job for next year. *crosses fingers, toes, eyes*

I went, and hubby went with me for support. I took a "squeezy ball" to help with the anxiety. I got two cavities filled in 1hr 15min and I do NOT need a root canal (at least not at this time). The appt was at 2pm, it's now almost 7pm, and my bottom lip is still totally numb. lol I'm starving! My jaw hurts like a s.o.b. But I survived and he said I was "really easy to work on."
Next appt is Tuesday, May 5th. Have 2 teeth on the top that need filling. *sigh* And we won't even talk about cost.

I don't wanna go to the dentist tomorrow!!
Happy Earth Day!
