So I've taken over as mod this year to run the Post-Apocalyptic Multi-Fandom Ficathon, commonly referred to as apocalyptothon. It's been trial and error and I'm learning as I go, but I think I've done okay so far. Right now we are accepting nominations/voting for fandoms. Signups start June 13th and authors will have roughly 2 months to complete stories. I'm excited to decimate some worlds!
Title: Mr. T Doesn't Live Here Anymore Author: Cait N. Fandom: Psych Rating: G Summary: You don't mess with Gus' food, especially his cookies. Shawn should have learned the first time. (Takes place during season 4 before episode 4.16 "Mr Yin Presents." [my assigned photo] Notes: This was actually written for the 8th Annual picfor1000 Challenge. I finally managed to finish it! Now all I have to do is finish the story for Challenge 9 & 10. *head desk* Thanks to wanderingoutlaw for his beta work. Any remaining mistakes are my own.
I'm sleepy all the time now. It's a good thing I go to the doctor in 2 weeks. Maybe she can tell me what's wrong. (crossing my fingers that it's not just me getting old lol)
What I really want for Christmas is a iPad. But since you're not that kind of Santa, here is my wish list:
1. Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich - Stephanie rocks! Sometimes things do go right for her, but it's usually by accident, never on purpose. If you want to pair her with either Ranger or Morelli, I have no problem with either one. Or both! lol Or neither. Pretty much every character makes me smile and I always look forward to seeing how her "car of the week" will get destroyed this time.
2. Women's Murder Club (TV) - I really wish this hadn't been cancelled. I think it had a lot of potential. I admit to not having read the books yet. I would be happy with anything you write in this fandom. If you need/want more direction, then maybe the gang is snowed in at the precinct on Christmas Eve - how do they deal with it? Or maybe a massive snow storm causes a blackout. I can imagine that would complicate their Christmas plans, too.
3. Eureka - The town at Christmas time. Probably not Taggart and holographic reindeer, or a shrinking town, but there are still a lot of crazy possibilities. Or maybe Jack and the gang can actually have a nice, quiet, normal holiday. (yeah right!)
4. Rizzoli & Isles - I love the way the main characters interact with each other. I would really like something set around the holidays, but anything is fine. I really don't see Jane and Maura as a couple, but more like BFF's who get on each others nerves sometimes. :) (Again, I haven't read the books that the series is based on - too many books, too little time!)
I'm working on a "Dear Yuletide Santa", I swear! I can't finish and post it until after work today, but whoever gets to write for me, check back later tonight!
3 months of pt and knee is still screwed up. I've been lost in Pottermore for the last month or so. Since it's almost Yuletide, it's time to come out of hibernation. lol
I start 6 weeks of physical therapy tomorrow. Not sure how many times a week/duration it will be; I'll find out in the morning. At 8:30am. What a way to start a Monday. lol
Yes, school is out, but I'm tired of people telling me how nice it is to have the summer off. I'm working this summer at the district office. Third year in a row. I didn't have to do it, but I can use the money.
In other news, I'd rather be at the beach. Now. Not in August/Sept. Now.
